  • What paper bill format do you as a hospital send to the insurers if you do not work with electronic billing?
    • You send the insurer (a copy of ) the patient invoice, the type of bill which you normally send to the patient. You should preferably state the relevant patient’s AssurCard card number on this medical care memorandum.
    • You can find the mail addresses for the various insurers here.
    • If necessary the insurer will contact you and request a detailed bill for the hospital stay.
