- Stick the AssurCard belonging to the person being admitted into the card reader.
Important! The card does not go into the machine fully (just like with Proton). Moreover it is important to put the card in the reader with the chip facing upwards.
- Select the language of choice. Touch the screen with your finger at the position where the language of choice is located.
- Confirm that you are using the card of the person being admitted.
- Confirm that you agree with the procedures.
- Confirm the choice of the proposed hospital (= the hospital where you are located) or select a different hospital. You can return to the previous screen by pressing <back>.
- Enter the (probable) admission date.
- Select the reason for your admission from the presented possibilities.Several questions may be asked; indicate your choice in each case.
- Confirm the answers given if this is requested.
- Read your insurer’s instructions concerning settling bills. Take possible printed documents out of the slot under the screen.
- Do not take your card from the card reader until this instruction appears on the screen.
- Show your card to the admissions staff on the day you are admitted. The hospital must confirm your hospitalisation in turn to your insurance company.
